14 doctors from different provinces of the country arrived in Guayaquil to be part of the first line of support in the fight against the coronavirus (covid-19).
The doctors were received at the José Joaquín de Olmedo airport by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Gabriel Martínez; together with the Secretary of Communication of the Presidency of the Republic, Gabriel Arroba. Health professionals arrived in a flight from Tame from Quito.
“As MTOP we give them the facilities so that they can arrive safely and, after the protocol with the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador to check their state of health, allow them to join in shaking hands with Guayaquil in medical work in hospital centers del Guasmo, Monte Sinaí, among others determined by the health agency, Martínez explained.
The holder of the Transportation Portfolio also made a tour of the migration areas, international control filters, biosafety points, counters for the departure of passengers from the air terminal.
He also thanked, on behalf of the National Government, the personnel who work at the airports of Quito and Guayaquil for that civic and patriotic spirit, which allows them to provide the facilities intended to receive humanitarian flights both for the departure of foreigners and the arrival of Ecuadorians from abroad in between. of the covid-19 pandemic.
