During an interview in Portoviejo, Assemblywoman Cynthia Viteri (PSC) and presidential candidate, was assaulted by a group of people upon her exit from a TV channel.
A dozen people waited for her outside Manavision, where she gave an interview, and when her car left the premises, they started to verbally assault her.
As they did, they raised their arms in protest. They were not carrying placards, or wearing clothing with allusive colors to any political organization.
A few approached the white Toyota car that was leaving the premises of the TV station and beat it with their hands.
The above described actions can be seen in a video that Cesar Cevallos shared through his Twitter account @shermancevallos.
He describes himself as a militant of Alianza PAIS (AP) in Manabi.
Cevallos uploaded the video, of a 31 seconds duration, with the following text: “@ CynthiaViteri6 # Manabi rejects your presence, we do not want coup plotters or those who did not support the #SolidarityAct.”
Viteri replied in her Twitter account this: “The Government sent people to insult me and to hit my vehicle upon my exit from Manavision, in #Manabi. Together, without fear, the change is coming.”
