Alert due to the falling sales of meat and milk

The low merchandising that register agricultural produtcs such as the meat and milk worries the rancher sector that yesterday alerted the situation and asked the Government for measures to counter the negative impact.

Rubén Párraga, new president of the Ecuadorian Rancher Federation (Fedegan), who indicated his functions yesterday, said that the milk sellings dropped between 28% and 35% from last year´s december to february; while the meat sellings dropped between 20% and 30% since october.

The reason, explained the leader is the low consumption in homes, and due to this, for milk, industries have reduced their production.
