Alert of the Supercom concerning the lyrics of reggaeton songs
Ecuadornews:

The Superintendence of Information and Communication (Supercom) warns of a “growing public discontent” against lyrics with high sexual content in reggaeton music spread in the media.
Through an official statement, the control body warned the social media about the responsibility of disseminating musical contents in order to guarantee the rights of children and adolescents.
“The high degree of influence this type of music has on children and adolescents could expose them to a behavior detrimental to their integral development, in search of acceptance and a need for identification typical of the age of this social group,” reads part of the communiqué published yesterday on the institutional website of the Superintendency.
The statement does not specify the timeslot with the highest audience of minors and adolescents, nor recommendations to the media (I).
