Alianza PAIS and the opposition request details of a $ 120 million transfer
Assembly members of the ruling party and opposition parties want to know the destination of the tax revenues obtained by the Solidarity and Citizens Coresposanbility Act in force after the earthquake of April 16.
This was requested after the press published that the Ministry of Finance used $ 120 million of those funds to pay suppliers from Manabi and Esmeraldas, although it has not been specified whether these debts were generated before the earthquake.
Virgilio Hernandez, president of the Economic Development Commission, which processed that standard, raised a request for information on the subject to the Ministry.
In his letter, he requests details of the total amount of the money raised, transfers and their beneficiaries, and information of the $ 120 million transfer from the special account created to manage the money of the earthquake to the Single Treasury Account in which cash flows are managed.
