AP adds to the 17 changes in the Constitution an “amendment”

pr03c250614photo01The “amendment” to the transitional provision of the Constitution, which refers to the time to integrate the regions, adds to the 17 articles changes that Assemblymen of Alianza PAÍS (AP) will submitt as draft amendments to the Constitutional Court (CC) next Thursday.

Gastón Gagliardo (AP) reported today that the Council of Legislative Administration (CAL for its Spanish acronym) meets to know the project and on Thursday, after a last workshop of the ruling party, they will resort to the CC.

Yesterday, Gustavo Baroja, President of the Consortium of Provincial Governments (Congope), met with the President of the Assembly Gabriela Rivadeneira to include his request about regions.

Rivadeneira said that Congope´s request is “appropriate”. “It does not affect the fundamental structure of the State, therefore, we will accept it in the package of amendments,” said the lawmaker.
