Assembly will discuss draft reforms to the Labour Code and the Social Security Law
Posted On 05 Jan 2015
The National Assembly will have the first debate this January 6 on the Law for Labor Justice and Recognition to Home Labor. The project has 44 articles: 41 are reforms to the Labour Code; and three to the Social Security Law.
According to a report of the Assembly, the Sections on labor reforms promote labor stability and job protection to people from priority attention groups. While those of the recognition of housework are aimed at equity and universalization of social security for housewives (retirement).
However, opposition members believe that this bill bypasses the protection of workers’ rights and affiliation to the social security system of housewives, who will not be protected if something happens to them, they said.
