Atletico Nacional beat Independiente del Valle and Copa Libertadores and is the new champion

Thank you for making us dream for a new title! Thank you for your solidarity! These phrases summarize part of the campaign of Independiente del Valle in the Libertadores Cup 2016, a competition in which they raised up the name of Ecuador worldwide, despite of not having won the title.
The striped team was defeated 1-0 Wednesday against Atletico Nacional, that managed to add its second Cup in the tournament thanks to the aggregate score of 2-1. The encounter took place at the Atanasio Girardot stadium in Medellin.
The Valle team, from Pichincha, showed its solidarity by donating the revenues from all ticket offices locally, since the first knockout round of the Libertadores cup, for the construction of houses for the victims of the earthquake that destroyed several towns in Manabi and Esmeraldas on 16 April.
