August 12 will be holiday

Next Friday of August 12 will be a mandatory holiday for the workers and employees of the public and private sector of the country. Such decision was made official by article 1 of the Executive Decree Nº 418 of June 19 in 2007.

The Decree states that the holidays established by the law that belong to the days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are moved to the Friday of the same week.

This Wednesday of August 10 would be the day that commemorates the independence of Ecuador, however due to the regulation of the bill the holiday was moved to Friday 12 of August. (AV)
