Authorities are investigating the unclear death of an Ecuadorian woman in Spain
Posted On 20 Mar 2016
The Spanish Civil Guard and Ecuadorian authorities will continue investigations into the death of Kelly Zambrano, a 55 year old migrant native of Manabi, who was found half-naked in the Regueron cannal, near Murcia.
The first results of the autopsy revealed that the woman died at the moment of being run over by a 58 year old Spanish citizen, who works as a baker. However, the man was released, after declaring that his car ran over a ‘large object,’ without imagining that it was a woman, according to daily La Verdad of Spain.
In an interview with Ecuavisa.com, Ketty Vera, daughter of Zambrano, said that Interior Minister Jose Serrano came into contact with her and assured her that the circumstances in which her mother died will be investigated.(I)
