Authorities signed an agreement to build new pier in Playas

A touristic project will be built in the General Villamil Playas county, in the province of Guayas. The afternoon of Tuesday, June 27, an agreement was signed in the popular resort for the execution of the first stage of the work. Governor Jimmy Jairala and Mayor Miriam Lucas attended the public event among other local authorities.
USD 6 703 674,27 will be allocated for the first stage. A loan of USD 5.4 million granted by the Development Bank of Ecuador made feasible the implementation of this touristic project. The Municipality of Playas contributed with the studies of the project and the land.
Lucas said that the joint inter-institutional task has a single purpose: “to generate a dignified life for the citizens and this project is certainly a symbol and emblem of that.” (I)
