Banco Pichincha Offers Accounts for Immigrants
The Banco Pichincha branch on Spain began a service that permits opening saving accounts and debit accounts from Ecuador. To prove the practicality of this new alternative, the Olympic champion Jefferson Perez, went to Banco Pichincha main office in Quito to open his own account and to suggest his immigrants compatriots to start their own account.
In Spain the financial entity has nine commercial offices located in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Murcia, Lorca and Alicante. “The process of opening a savings account and debit accounts is real simple. When the client has all the basic requisites, like citizen ID, DNI. The estimated time to perform the process takes 30 minutes,” stated Rosa Elena Jativa, responsible of International Business of Banco Pichincha.
This program allows relatives of migrants in Spain open a bank account in Spain from Ecuador. According to the financial entity, the benefits of Banco Pichincha accounts in Spain are: no service commissions and maintenance, free emission and renewal of debit cards, free remittances, saving benefits for euro and dollars, among others.
