Barrel of oil falls below the $ 50 in New York

The price of a barrel of oil fell sharply on Monday, January 5 in New York, even falling during the day below the $ 50, in a marketconcerned by the oversupply.
The fall was accentuated in the new year´s eve, and the “light sweet crude” (WTI) for February delivery gave way $ 2.65 to $ 50.04 on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex), a closing low from April 28, 2009.
In London, the Brent North Sea for the same delivery date lost even more, $ 3.31 to $ 53.11 at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
