Public-private initiatives promotes the Bank of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (Biess) for affiliates and retirees for this year. One of them is the placement of mortgage loans.

According to Diego Burneo, general manager of Biess, success will be teamwork on all fronts. “Private banks, private companies, public banks, government authorities, this government and the one to come.”

The Biess established for this year a placement goal for mortgage loans of $ 500 million, that is, 25% higher than that of 2020, the year in which the financial institution closed with more than $ 396.8 million in 6,795 loans mortgage.

“El Biess has been a very important participant all the time that we have been building homes”, as expressed by Patricio Solines, manager of Construir Futuro.

They are joint efforts that help to boost the construction sector, which is a powerful catalyst for the economy. “Construction – without a doubt – is an engine of development, and when it comes to economic recovery, it is the engine of the country,” said Burneo.

According to Biess, the entity occupies 44% of the mortgage market nationwide, making it the bank with the highest placement of home loans. (I)
