Biodiversity Commission will visit the Yasuni ITT fields

As part of a follow-up to the Declaration of National Interest of the process of oil exploitation of the block 43 or ITT fields (Ishpingo, Tambococha and Tiputini), located in the Yasuni National Park, the assembly forming the Biodiversity Committee of the Assembly, will visit the area.

The Chairman of the Committee and Assemblyman of ruling movement Alianza PAIS (AP), Carlos Viteri Gualinga, said the visit aims to verify the progress in the process of exploitation and to organize talks with locals who were part of the prior consultation.
