Bolivian Congress rotates counter-clockwise its Clock’s hands
The clock of the building of the Bolivian Congress in La Paz, now rotates counter-clockwise, its spiers mark the hour to the left as a symbol of the process of political transformation in the Andean nation.
Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca and Senate President Eugenio Rojas, stated that this initiative was named the “Southern Clock”.
According to the configuration, the 12 continues in the north position, but now the spiers turn left to tick the hours following 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 until 6, from which they rise from the right to tick 7.8, 9,10 and 11.
The idea aims to raise awareness among the Bolivians about the historical moment currently experienced by Bolivia, which is a country of the south, and not of north, so the clocks should go differently.
