The recent decision taken by Great Britain, through a referendum, of separating from the European Union (EU) would not bring direct consequences for the scheduled times and the ratification of the the accession of Ecuador to the Multiparty Trade Agreement with that block (28 countries), which is expected until the end of this year.
This was stated yesterday by Peter Schwaiger, EU representative in Ecuador, after being consulted by this daily. “I personally believe that the Brexit (Britain exit) will not represent a problem for the times,” said Schwaiger.
Brexit is referred to the initiative launched in Britain to get out of the European Union, that according to updated results, leads the ratings of the referendum held last Thursday, accumulating 51.9% of the votes recorded against 48.1% of the other alternative: Bremain (Britain remain). (I)
