CB says that Ministry of Finance owes a debt of $ 3.6 billion

The Ministry of Finance´s debt to the Central Bank of Ecuador is about $ 3.6 billion. “These $ 3.6 billion now have medium and long-term bonds,” said Director of the CB Veronica Artola.
A debt of about $ 2.2 billion was paid through shares of BanEcuador, the National Corporation of Popular and Solidary Finance (Conafips) and the National Financial Corporation (CFN) a few months ago.
Although the payment is scheduled until 2021, Artola did not rule out that there could be some kind of renegotiation for an advance payment as the clauses provide it, she added. (I)
