Chancellery give legal advice to the victims of OGC Paquetería
Alexander Romero knows what means to be a victim of fraud from a parcel delivery company. In 2012, he trusted services Vicza Express to send belongings to Ecuador. The goods never arrived and after four years still hopes to recover part of the shipment. The misfortune wanted the immigrant is also one of those affected by the untimely closure of OGC Paquetería, on 7 March. Romero hopes that the decision of the Foreign Ministry to make available to injured service legal advice to address the case to the Spanish authorities “further expedite the process.”
At a meeting convened at the Consulate of Ecuador in Madrid, Ambassador Miguel Calahorrano informed those concerned that a lawyer hired by the government represent the platform and coordinate the legal actions to be taken in Spain. During the meeting attended by dozens of compatriots, the diplomat said that so far 42 containers have been located with the belongings of immigrants, according to data provided by the Director General of the National Customs Service of Ecuador, Xavier Cardenas.
