Chancellery will receive donations for Palestinians

Ecuador’s Foreign Ministry launched a campaign of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, whom the ministry said, are living “tragic moments” in the conflict with Israel.

The initiative urged Ecuadoreans to donate tents, food and clothing, which will be delivered to their offices in nine cities.

“Ecuador serves so far a request of the Palestinian government to provide medical supplies”, the ministry said in a statement.

After the intensification of the conflict, President Rafael Correa also suspended an official visit to Israel that was planned for the second half of the year.
