Chicago School will receive donation from George Lucas

A prestigious private school in South Chicago will benefit thanks to the donation of $ 25 million dollars from George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson.
The contribution of the George Lucas Family Foundation will help fund a new building for the arts in the Laboratory Schools from the university, University of Chicago informed.
The building of nearly 80 thousand square meters (86,000 square feet) will bear the name Gordon Parks, photographer, musician and advocate of social justice and will be inaugurated in 2015.
Lucas said in a statement that art could “transform lives and communities,” and noted that expects the Parks legacy inspires to future generations.
Hyde Park school has 1,800 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
