Children victims of abuse are rescued from shelter in Mexico

Police and military rescued from a shelter in the city of Zamora, in western Mexico, 500 children and babies who were deprived of their liberty and were abused, authorities reported yesterday.
The operation was carried out in the group home La Gran Familia, who operated for 40 years, from at least 50 complaints against administrators, especially the owner who was arrested.
In the house there were about 600 people, from newborns to adults 40 years, which, according to witnesses and victims were subjected to “various physical and psychological abuse.”
A victim reported that at age 18 asked to leave and was kept on hold another 13 years working in the hostel, where it had two girls who saw only every two months on supervised visits three hours.
