Chinese boat for dredging had a value of USD 22 million

Yanuncay River, the Chinese boat the Direction of Maritime Interests of the National Army bought for the dredging of the access channel to the seaport of Guayaquil, had a value of $ 22 million and was purchased from the Zhenjiang Hong Lin Shipping Project Company. The financing was made with a loan from the State Bank for $ 19.5 million.
According to the contract with the port authority of Guayaquil, the boat will have to dredge all the channel, excepting `Los Goles´area. The 5 yearscontract stipulates to maintain a dredging of 9.6 metres deep.
In the first phase of the project, there will be a massive dredging, in which another dredger of smaller capacity will participate.
The second stage consists of performing maintenance tasks. There are daily plans in which the vessel carries out two trips, as each cycle takes between 10 and 12 hours. Its capacity is 7 047 cubic meters and is 110.4 meters long.
