Citibank was recognized as the best digital bank in Ecuador by Global Finance magazine, in the 22nd annual competition of the World’s Best Corporate / Institutional Digital Banks in Latin America.
Citi Latin America received recognition in 24 of 27 award categories in Latin America, with fourteen country awards and ten more in regional subcategories that recognize digital products and services offered to clients.
He won the award in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Mexico (Citibanamex).

The winning banks were selected based on the following criteria: strength of strategy to attract and serve digital customers, success in getting customers to use digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits from digital initiatives, and website / mobile design and functionality.
According to the entity, as part of the digital solutions, customers have been allowed to overcome financial challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
