Clever Jimenez demands Correa before the International Criminal Court
Former legislator Clever Jimenez has sued President Rafael Correa Delgado before the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Apparently, the lawsuit was filed on June 17th.
Jimenez asks the Court to conduct a preliminary examination of the events that occurred on September 30, 2010, in order to establish the alleged existence of crimes against humanity committed, according to the demand of Jimenez, by President Correa.
Jimenez´s demand requests the International Criminal Court to analyze the events that took place at the Police Hospital in Quito.
Jimenez filed the complaint before the Ecuadorian justice system, which was rejected and caused, in response, a complaint of President Correa against the former legislator of Pachakutik, so he was stripped from his parliamentary immunity and was sentenced to prison.
