Yesterday the plenary of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) recognized the impeachments of two political groups who claimed they were injured in the processing of the vote counting.
The first group, the Partido Renovador Institucional Accion Nacional (PRIAN) questioned the results obtained in the voting of national assembly members for Guayas. The plenary, after hearing the appeal, ordered the opening of 26 Electoral boards, within 48 hours after the notification.
As for the second group, the Partido Sociedad Patriotica (PSP), Assemblyman Galo Lara made the allegation of irregularities. In this case the agency ordered the opening of three boards in the province of Los Rios.
