CNE approves 27,895 candidates for elections

Through his twitter account, the National Electoral Council reported that 27,895 are qualified candidates who are ready to begin this January 7 their campaign activities for the sectional elections to be held on February 23.

The national coordinator of electoral processes, Rene Mauge, said that approved applicants can make use of the Electoral Promotion Fund. Additional to this, they can promote themselves in 826 qualified media of the country.

According to registers of the National Electoral Council, Manabi is the province with the highest approved candidates with 2,574, while Guayas ranks second with 2,376.
