CNE Still Deliberating which Parties will Participate in Referendum Campaigns
The Ecuadorian National Electoral Council (CNE) disqualified 51 political and social organizations for not meeting the registration requirements to participate in election campaigns for the next inquiry and referendum to be carried out this May 7th.
The CNE through a meeting made on Monday and early today, reviewed the enforcement of the requirements for these groups can be credited as political subjects so they can access to the media slots – that will be founded by the state – to promote the election. The full council will officially announce this morning the results of the rating process.
From the 101 enrolled between political parties, movements, and social organizations 36 groups were approved so far, 4 could be confirmed and 16 are permanently out.
