CNHF: Community Work to Improve Knowledge and Health
Two months ago due to the many respiratory illnesses of her daughter Alexandra, Bella Vargas Pinela decided to knock on the doors of Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation (CNHF), hoping to get the needed help to fund drug treatment to her daughter.
Soon CNHF, not only gave support to Bella so she can continue with her daughter’s medical treatment, but also offered her to undertake an initiative to create a community library in order to encourage reading skills in her neighborhood.
Thus began the library project named “Divino Niño Grupo de Union”, located at the Coop. Valparaiso, in Duran City (Guayaquil-Ecuador). For nearly 3 weeks, Javier Cornejo, Social Guide at CNHF, worked along with Bella overseeing the construction and equipping of the library.
According to Javier Cornejo, “the main objective of opening this library is to have training centers to learn computation, sewing, crafts, English, etc.”
