Cocoa Summit envisages business for $ 16 million

The Fourth World Cocoa Summit will be held next month, but there is already talk of a business projection that would exceed $ 16 million.

Anecacao president Juan Pablo Zuniga is convinced that in a short time Ecuador will will be second or third in the international ranking of cocoa sales by production volume. Now it is fourth. And it is also the largest producer of fine flavor cocoa and covers more than 60% of the international demand in this area.

With these advantages, the country will attend this summit. The participation of 40 international buyers from 20 countries has been confirmed so far. They come from Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China and South Korea. Also from Spain, USA, France, UK, Russia, Turkey …

The key to the business conference “Aromas of Ecuador” will be promoting the best of the of Ecuadorian coffee, cacao and chocolate production. 60 domestic exporters will participate at the summit.

Guayaquil will host this meeting, to be held at the Convention Center from 29 to 31 August.
