Commission for report the Telecomunications Reform Law is designated

The Commission of the Autonomous Governments will analyze and prepare the report for discussion, at the plenary session of the Assembly, for the amendments to the Special Telecommunications Law that seeks the redistribution of the profits of workers in phone companies.

The amendment to the Special Telecommunications Law raised by the President Rafael Correa, has only one article that refers to “in the case of workers linked to companies that use radioelectric spectrum and that have contracts with the State, through which the provision of telecommunications services is delegated to them, they will receive 3% of earnings and the remaining 12% will be paid to the State, which will go towards social investment projects and the development of telecommunications, especially the universality of the service.”
