Commission will convene liquidation of Hoy newspaper

The Committee on Rights of the Workers of the Assembly will convene Edith Duke, liquidator of Edimpres. With this, it is expected clarify the state of the sale of goods of Hoy newspaper and the settlement payments to employees.

Betty Carrillo (AP), President of the Commission, said that they expect to know the reason for the ‘slowness’ of the settlement.

A group of former employees of Hoy, led by Luis Yugsi, requested that it is the Ministry of Labor the one that does the paperwork for the prompt delivery of settlements; and that the authorities are responsible for investigating Edimpres subsidiaries companies, vehicle sales to managers and assets obtained through advertising exchanges.
