Committee in defense of La Manga del Cura will seek dialogue with President Correa

The members of the defense committee of La Manga del Cura were appointed on October 2 by the Prefect of Manabi, Mariano Zambrano, who announced that his first working meeting will be on Monday 6 October.

A meeting in which they will begin to outline the strategy to make an appointment with President Rafael Correa, and expose him the Manabi´sstance on the border issue it records with Guayas in the La Manga del Cura.

 Among the 33 members of the commission, there were those who expressed their concern over the remaining time to resolve the dispute. As the law states that all local governments must resolve conflicts with their neighbors until April 2015.
