Complaints Increase Public Service Law

Public workers went on strike this Thursday claiming and expressing their complaints for Labor Law. Their goal: they are pushing the Assembly in order to refuse the comments of the Presidency to the Public Service Law for attempting  against their rights.
Unions marched in Quito demanding the preservation of the original texts of the legal Act. Specifically on issues related to compensation and the purchase of labor resignations.

In the capital, 120.000 civil workers from the National Confederation of Public Workers conformed 120 000 civil walked the headquarters of the legislature.

They are demanding a Payment of compensation. Meanwhile, the government announces to pay them with bonuses depending their age.   Workers reject this proposal, they claim for payment on cash.

According  to the government, the purchase of labor resignations must be mandatory. On the other side, workers consider the mechanism like a  group dismissal.They claim the proposal does not respect their right right to job security.

The Federation of Workers noted that the President’s will cause the loss of their jobs to 150.000 employees.
