Cordicom and `Vivos´ reach an agreement
Performing a continuous content´s review of the program Vivos to “not offend or cause any type of discrimination,” was the agreement reached by the authorities of the Regulation Council of Communication (Cordicom) and the Orbeluna Productions team.
This, starting from the complaints made by social groups represented by the GLBTI association `Silueta X,´ who claimed that `Vivos´, `La pareja feliz´ and `Mi recinto´ were discriminatory TV Shows.
The representatives of both sectors met yesterday at the headquarters of Editogran to discuss and analyze various aspects of the Communications Law .
Counselors of Cordicom made several suggestions to the writers, producers, editors and actors of Orbeluna to improve the quality of the TV program .
Patricio Barriga, President of Cordicom, said that one of the central themes of the meeting was the role occupied by women on television and how is being discriminated.
The Orbeluna owner, David Reinoso, assured that the meeting he request months ago to Cordicom, was very useful for his staff. “We clarified certain things about what topics may cause. We spoke about discrimination,” he said.
