President Correa referred to Lara during a radio broadcast in Macas as he spoke of freedom of expression. “He says (Galo Lara) that corruption is directed from Carondelet by the President of the Republic. Is it a monstrous opinion or slander? That is freedom of expression or freedom to insult?, He had the chance to speak freely, he had the demonstrate responsibility, he’s not going to prove anything because I’m not a corrupt. immunity is backed by a cowardly, to vent all their wickedness, all his iniquities.”
