Correa described as “destabilization attempt” the accusation against his counterpart Fernández
President Rafael Correa described on Saturday, February 14 as “an attempt of destabilization” the accusation against his counterpart from Argentina, Cristina Fernández, for covering suspected Iranian former officials of an anti-Semitic attack in 1994.
“It’s another chapter of the conservative restoration that now uses the legal entities to try to destabilize the progressive governments of our America,” said Correa during his weeckly address.
He also added: “all our support and our hearts with Cristina, who’s facing a new attempt of destabilization.”
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, Foreign Minister Héctor Timmerman and others close to the Argentine government were charged on Friday by the Prosecutor’s office for “concealment crimes of aggravated favoring staff, functional impediment or hindrance act and breach of the duties of public officials.”
