Correa lashes out at Trump at the Peoples’ Conference

Ecuadornews:
Former President Rafael Correa yesterday called the president of the United States Donald Trump “a troglodyte,” and former Colombian president Ernesto Samper rejected the “trumpets” against Latin America.
Both political leaders participated in the opening of the World Conference of the Peoples “For a world without walls,” a forum that gathers social leaders and some former presidents in the Bolivian town of Tiquipaya.
In his speech, Correa referred to the words from the former President of the Government of Spain José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, present in the forum: “history will not stop because of Trump nor by any ruler who despises human rights.”
Rafael Correa stressed that, on the contrary, “troglodytes” like Trump, in command of “the greatest nation humanity has known, can change the course of that history and can delay the progress of it.”
Samper assured that Trump is “the greatest danger for Latin America at the right now.” (I)
