Correa stands immigrant labor and “education revolution” at Barcelona
Last night, President Rafael Correa met 2,500 Ecuadorians at Blau Museum in Barcelona.
Correa began his speech and highlighted the work of immigrants, because they are those who have helped to overcome the crisis in the country. He also spoke about the `education revolution´ carried by his government, highlighting the creation of the Universities of Arts, UNAE, Yachay and Ikiam.
Today, by 10:00 (Ecuador time), was scheduled Correa´s be investiture as Doctor Honoris Causa in one of the most emblematic dates for the Catalans, because on April 23 Sant Jordy is celebrated, the feast of rose and the Book.
In a statement, the University of Barcelona stressed Correa’s commitment `by the design of ambitious educational programs in order to improve the quality in the areas of basic education, secondary and higher education in Ecuador.´
