Correa’s Party Members Will Watch Over the Votes

Today’s electoral process will be monitored only by members of the president’s political party (PAIS). No other groups were approved by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

According to the government news agency, Andes, Omar Simon, president of the institution, informed that until yesterday there were no party members subscribed to watch over the voting process.

The opposition has a different version of this allegation, Luis Villacis, of MPD, assured that Alvaro Saenz, coordinator of CNE, and verbally notified the invalidation of the credentials presented by the National Coordinator of the NO option.
