Posted On 23 Apr 2014
The official death toll from shipwreck happened in South Korea, amounted this Wednesday to 150 thanks to the speed in the execution of the bodies recovery in submerged ferry.
The spokesman for the emergency task force, Koh Myung-seok, said that the bodies recovering work has become more difficult and divers must now break walls to enter the cabin.
`Because the living room is a large open space, once there, we will have concluded our search. But in the case of the cabins, we must break down the walls because they are all compartments,´ said Koh.
The amount of recovered bodies has increased considerably since the weekend, when divers were finally able to enter the sunk ferry after battling strong currents and low visibility.
