Diplomatic Suitcase was Sent to the Commercial Office in Milan
The exit of the diplomatic suitcase (narco-suitcase) from the Foreign Office was registered in a paper written by hand. The one-page document was emitted on February 16 by Centre of Canine Police (CAC for its Spanish acronym) confirmed that the suitcase was indeed in the Foreign Office in Quito.
The report revealed that in January 11 the suitcase was sent from the Foreign Affairs in Italy, Cristian Puedmag signed the paper of check control. The official acted as a representative of the Ecuadorian Foreign Office; according to the Secretary of State he was assigned to the support area since January with the rank of auxiliary service and a salary of $504 per month.
Yesterday the Prosecutors office informed through their website that the “Ecuadorian Embassy in Italy requested to the Foreign Offices Ministry international criminal assistance.” Meanwhile the Ecuadorian police are quiet about the matter saying that the case is in inquiry phase. (AV)
