Domingo Paredes leaves office in the CNE after draw
Posted On 28 Nov 2014
The President of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) Domingo Paredes and his companion Roxana Silva will leave the institution after three years in office. Their names written in Ping-Pong balls were selected in the draw, as required by the Constitution. And it was carried out in the Council of Citizen Participation (Cpccs).
Only for this occasion, Paredes and Silva will leave in half the time. The Constitution provides that directors should be partially renewed every three years.
In three more years will be the turn of the remaining members, Juan Pablo Pozo, Nubia Villacís and Paul Salazar, who will meet the full period, as their successors.
