E-commerce gives rise to new businesses
Posted On 13 Sep 2016

E-commerce gets stronger in the world as a platform for new ventures. In 2014, online sales accounted for more than $ 1.3 billion in turnover, a volume, that is estimated, will double over the next four years.
Ecuador is not far from that trend. This is a market that annually moves about $ 800 million and is encouraging the creation of new businesses. To further promote its development, the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce (GCC) enlists the sixth edition of the E-day, the most important event on electronic commerce in the city.
Pablo Arosemena, its president, explains that this year “we will focus a lot on the topic of entrepreneurship, the creation of spaces so that these small entrepreneurs interact with their peers and have access to the latest trends.” The event is scheduled for next September 23 at the Convention Center of Guayaquil. It is expected the participation of 17 exhibitors (10 of them international) and the award for the best business ideas.
