The geological structure of the Earth’s surface
The lithosphere is the outer layer of the Earth which includes the crust and the upper mantle, this is fractionated into plates.
Geological activity comes from the interaction of the plates when they approach or separate.
The movement of the plates creates three types of plate boundaries:
convergent boundaries, where the plates come close to each other.
