Quito paid tribute to the victims of the earthquake with a religious act

Hundreds of people gathered tonight at the Cross of the Pope, in Quito, to pay tribute to those killed in the earthquake that struck last Saturday part of the Ecuadorian coast. The event was organized by the mayor of the Capital Mauricio Rodas.
The ceremony began at 18:58, the exact time when the tragedy that devastated the towns of Manabi, Esmeraldas, Guayas and Los Rios occirred, being the towns of Pedernales, Manta, Portoviejo and Muisne, the most affected (I).
