Earthquake: suppliers and housing, the highest spending
Posted On 28 Jul 2016
Resources by taxes imposed by the Solidarity Act and international donations enter and leave the state coffers every day. Since June 17, the government disburses funds for the reconstruction of areas affected by the earthquake. But it also pays suppliers of Esmeraldas and Manabi, with whom it had outstanding bills.
Until July 25, 163 disbursements of $ 152.2 million were made. The amount of transfers is variable and depends on the needs of each sector. The largest was $ 120 million for payments to State suppliers in Manabi and Esmeraldas. That is, about 78%, which went to debt payments.
