The Easter Holidays are an opportunity to boost domestic tourism which, in just three days, promises to mobilize a million of nationals. Thus calculated the Hotel Federation of the country based on last years figures. In that sense, the numbers are optimistic and upward.
Unlike other holidays which are usually an indisputable opportunity to turn the attention to the beaches, the easter takes the attention of tourism to big cities.
Guayaquil and Quito, almost desert in other holidays, are the destinations that will concentrate more visitors for Easter because of the religious meaning of the rest.
The Ministry of Tourism estimates that the average expenditure of the internal tourism will be of $ 92 million. On the other hand, the Airlines Association of Ecuador, announced yesterday that the 90% of the tickets for this weekend, to all national destinations, had been exhausted.
