Ebola case is confirmed in Spain

A Spanish nursing assistant was recorded as the first case of infection of ebola outside Africa, authorities said yesterday.

The Public Health Director of the Community of Madrid, Antonio Alemany, said that the assistant was twice in the room with the last deceased patient, once to treat him and another to collect material after his death, all protocols were accomplished.

Currently, thirty Spanish health workers, who were in contact with the auxiliary, are monitored to ensure that no symptoms of the disease are presented.
