Posted On 13 Dec 2014
The Foreign Ministries of Ecuador and Colombia define details for the third Binational Cabinet scheduled for Monday, December 15 at the Rioverde county, border province of Esmeraldas.
This Friday, December 12, the Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, referred to the points to be addressed in the event that anticipate the attendance of Presidents Rafael Correa and Juan Manuel Santos.
One of the outstanding issues in both countries is the bilateral trade, which in the opinion of the Chancellor, recorded little progress. That has resulted in a trade deficit of about $ 700 million, Patiño said. “We have to intensify trade relations with Colombia, now that oil prices are falling,” he said.
